Van Morrison- I'll be your lover, Too

I first came in contact with this song in 2000 at the end of the movie “Proof of life” with Meg Ryan and Russell Crow. Back then I was really young and my only interest in music was rap, primarily Eminem. Don’t get me wrong I still love rap music and Eminem, I’m just saying I was musically limited to what my peers were listening to and needless to say, Van Morrison wasn’t it. Years later I was trying to find a cheap way for a broke unemployed 19 year old to get her parents a gift.  What that means is Mix tape! I knew they always loved this song, but had no idea who the artist was or even its name.  After I did some careful internet digging I found who the artist was along with the title and downloaded it on my IPod, burnt a CD then gifted it to my parents. Putting my IPod on shuffle many times, this song would pop up and it grew on me, as some songs do. Now it is one of my top favorites and I never get tired of listening to it. It also expanded my musical taste and allowed me to discover other music that normally I wouldn’t even considered.

  2. Good story. I think we all have that one song that changes how we perceive music, even if we don't always remember which one it was. I pretty much thought louder was better until I heard Soundgarden's "Burden in My Hand".
